About CES
University of Moratuwa is one of the greatest technical institutions in the world and it is well recognized all across the world for its innovative products and engineering breakthroughs. The faculty of engineering accommodates about 3500 students who rated the highest in advanced level examinations with best achievements. With a workforce over 200 giving expertise and over 1000 after graduation students, the faculty enlightens the technological hierarchy of the country.

The Civil Engineering Society (CES) is a student organization founded by the Civil Engineering Department with the goal of promoting student welfare within the department. Additionally, it promptly addresses the capability of a competent engineer of being sensitive and accountable for the community’s social norms.
CES is a society that resembles a family, consisting of all academic personnel in the department, department alumni, and undergraduates within the department, who are led by an executive committee, comprised of selected leaders from each university cohort. CES has expanded its reach over the years by undertaking several social welfare initiatives for people in need, and they continue to thrive with the ultimatum of producing young engineers to ensure the country’s future prosperity.
