Annual “Pirith” chanting ceremony is organized to have blessings from Triple Gem for a successful, healthy, sanctifying year ahead for the university community. Preparing the “Pirith Mandapa” is one of the major tasks which spotlight the creative and ingenious talents of Civil Engineering students. Pirith chanting is carried out over night by a chief monk at the forefront, amalgamated by several other monks. After chanting pirith, an arms-giving ceremony is also conducted on the next morning. This event really brings about blessings along with tranquillity in mind.
